Attached is a picture of my backyard and the view I have of the Woodlands East golf course. The plan for 13th floor is to remove all those trees you see and put in a road and build homes. Building in the Woodlands will probably drop the value of some homes, especially homes like mine. I’m asking to keep the Woodlands as recreational and not approve the property for residential. Tamarac bought Woodmont and now plan to build a new clubhouse; it’s unfair that the city isn’t willing to do the same in the Woodlands. The city could rent the Woodlands clubhouse property to a restaurateur instead.
Adding more homes to an already dense Broward County just adds to more traffic and more problems.
I realize the tax revenue is attractive, but it will be at the expense of our neighborhood.
My husband and I moved here because it was a sanctuary away from the business of the city. Please don’t allow this property to be zoned for residential.
